Nava Dance Immersion from 14 to 19 July

Five-day deep immersion into the heart of Miriam’s unique format, Nava Dance. We will draw deep inspiration from the movement and cycles of the sea and allow it to inspire our dance, exploring the circles, spirals and cycles found in our physical body, as well as the universal body. Each day will include technique, theory, improvisation and choreography.
Nava Dance is deeply rooted in Central Asian aesthetics and movement as well as in Sufi mystical themes. Central to Nava format is the notion of embodied intention, and the ability to transform emotional, mental and spiritual states through movement layered with ritual and meaning. Ultimately the intention of the dance practice is to inspire a holistic journey of personal transformation. Each day will include some theory, technique, improvisation and choreography in the Nava style. It is geared towards intermediate level dancers wanting to deepen in Nava Dance format, learn traditional sources in Central Asian dance as well as cultivate more awareness in one’s own physical potential as a dancer.

Arrival- July 14th- late morning/early afternoon. 1:00 pm lunch, 1st session 4:30-7:30
July 15th- 10:00-1:00 & 6:00-8:00

July 18th- Field Trip/Site specific work
July 19th- 10:00-2:00- Final Session & Closing circle- Lunch & Goodbye!!!!
Fee:
*The cost of the immersion is 450 Euro (early bird until April 30th)/550 Euro after April 30th. (This fee does not include accommodations and food, which are listed below separately.)
Accommodations:
Please note there are several options ranging from simple apartments that have kitchens for preparing personal meals, to full board hotel accommodations with all meals included. For students staying in apartments it’s also possible to purchase individual meals at a fixed rate per meal.

*400 Euro total (for shared accommodations in apartments including lunches & dinners)
*225 Euro total (for shared accommodations in apartments not including meals)

*Includes 3 meals per day, water, and wine with dinner & accommodations in hotel rooms with daily cleaning.
